RSM EQUICO again,..
Hey everyone,
I have recently accepted into RSM summer internship, now, i know its not a wall street giant or even an MM baller (but still ranked by Thompson in MM http://www.thomson.com/pdf/financial/league_table/ma/4Q2007/4Q07_MA_MidM...),
but provided with this shitty market, i would take whatever it offers, but my ultimate goal is still BB for next fall. Could anyone be so kind telling me what its like to work there, and what is the opportunity i would have for the next recruiting process with this kind of internship under my belt.
THanks

One of my friends interned there last summer, he said that the people were great to work with and easy to get a long with. Overall, he learned a lot. I believe he worked for the consumer product group. He did a lot of due dilligence work.
I have an interview with their Energy Services Group coming up next week. How was your interview with them? was it technical or fit? How many interviews? any advice? I tried asking my friend but I haven't been able to get a holf of him since he is studying abroad.

i interviewed with the financial service group, dont worry about the technical part even though they did ask me one or two basic valuation techniques questions, but you should be able to answer it (what are the three methods< which one has the highest valuation...) just one round, most are fit, one with the MD two with the VPs, hey btw, was your friend able to leverage this into full time, and where are you going to work at, I am at their Costa Mesa office, hehe let me know if your in so we can hang out together bro

I will be interviewing for their costa mesa office. So they are mostly fit, huh? Any other advice? Any accounting qt's? brainteasers?
Anyways, my friend did receive an offer from them. However, I think he worked out of their Chicago office. He had a connection somehow. He mentioned that 3/4 interns received an offer. He didn't take the offer as he decided to take a consulting gig with LEK.
Any other qt's feel free to ask.
Oh yeah, i'll let you know how it goes.
hum cool, good luck, no
hum cool, good luck, no brainteaser, btw, actually there are two rounds but the second round is just lunch with the MD, so..dont know if it counts or not,..make sure you know how to answer why do you want to work in middle market or the group that you are interviewing for...i dont know if i would take the offer either since i have heard that the pay over there is pretty shitty so..maybe just try to get some experience and then focus on the full time, what school you are going to btw, i am at USC
