Rutgers vs UVA
Hey guys I'm new to the forum and i'm a senior at high school currently deciding on which college to attend. I know the question may come off as a no-brainer, but I'd be in-state for rutgers business school in their new honors college. Would it be easier to perform better at Rutgers GPA-wise and does it place well in top consulting or even IB internships? At UVA I'd have to apply to McIntire second year, which I've heard isn't too bad. Also practically full rides to both colleges.
Down the road I want to either double major in finance (or comm at Mcintire) and computer science or at least minor in compsci. Also planning on MBA and one day working at a silicon valley tech giant.
Thanks
If they both cost the same, UVA without a doubt. Don't pay attention to which school is easier, as this doesn't matter. In any case, they are probably both equally difficult.
appreciate the reply, thank you!
Rutgers is deff easier, but that shouldn't matter. If UVA is within 10k a year of Rutgers it should be a pretty easy choice.
also wondering if my proposed path is suitable for a career in consulting/management at a tech company (apple, google, ibm, any up and coming startup)
Normally, if the cost is substantially lower or there are better experiences to be had at a slightly lower ranked school, I would choose the cheaper or more fun school. However, the gulf between UVA and Rutgers is too enormous to ignore and I don't think there is any social benefit to Rutgers over UVA either.
If you don't choose UVA between these two schools, I will find you and full-force dick-punch you. You've been warned.
point taken, i will heed your advice!!
