Series 55

Hello, I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for series 55 study materials. I don't like STC as I think their books are filled with excess crap that's not needed for the tests, but if anyone found any other good Series 55 books let me know, right now I'm leaning towards the Kaplan one. Also, what is the usual study period for this test? Can I crank through it like the 63? Thanks

I just used I think "official" study material, which had a text book and practice exams and came with a CD. There is a lot less material than the series 7 but has a lower passing rate than the 7. I found the 55 asked A LOT of questions that werent directly covered in the study material.

FYI, the 55 was much more detail-oriented than the 7. STC is the way to go with this exam! Take all of their exams, review the crunch time facts (this condenses information and sums up most important things to know). Flashcards also helpful.

I think that is exactly what happened. I think I overstudied and then started thinking too much about my answers and questioning my answers instead of going with my gut. Classic mistake!

Use passperfect. I swear by it. I am a horrible test taker and it helped me pass both series exams I had to for pwm. And I have horrible test anxiety.

Kaplan is ok, however I think PP is the best. I spent extra money to buy the program to guarantee a pass on an exam and it was well worth it.

PP main focus is series exams. That's it. Kaplan does not have that sole focus.
