series 7 now what?

so I have my Series 7 (and 63) and I'm having a rough time in sales. Granted I've been working on wall st less than one year but I thought the 7 would open more doors for me. I can work for alot of different firms in sales so that's a big plus, and I've met alot of interesting characters from guys who have made $100k in their second year in the biz too $500k but I'm not really a sales guy and I've met alot of guys who are broke at the end of second year (more so of the latter) and I'm becoming more and more convinced I will be broke too. I'm considering a new career path but not sure which?

So now what????????????

............ any advice will be appreciated :)

What are you selling? Girl scout cookies? By the way, everyone and their mother has the 7 & 63, so why you thought this would open any doors for you is beyond me.

Under my tutelage, you will grow from boys to men. From men into gladiators. And from gladiators into SWANSONS.

such is the life of a broker. hasn't changed in 100 years, won't change for you. if you don't want sales, exit brokerage/PWM. try to get into ops in BO/MO and work your way up from there. this all assumes you went to a non-target, don't have CFA, and don't have a network you could call upon to help you get into capital markets/ER/AM at your current firm.

edit: if it was easy, everyone would do it, and it wouldn't pay so well.

thanks i didnt go to a target and i don't have a CFA ive been applying into bo/mo posistions with little or no response at all I might be interested in going for my CFA though how should I go about it how expensive is it how long should it take? just for reference it took me 2 months too get my 7/63
