Shifting competition?
Has anyone else noticed that competition in the HF industry right now is based heavily upon fee structures rather than performance? Seems like managers are currently differentiating themselves based not on how well their fund performs, but on how low a fee they'll manage your money for. Seems like a toxic way to perform business, really squeezing the margins that are the bread and butter of this industry. Comments?
