Should I consider MBA@UNC?

It's the only T25 MBA online option, allowing me to avoid lost income and to continue gaining experience. I am also in-state, which is a big factor for me for lower tuition costs.

Looking to move from hospital industry to health mgt consulting. Have a prior masters related to my field from a T10. Also considering the one year Goizuetta, Johnson, Kellogg.

Or does MBB, Deloitte, Stratgy& etc only feed from the full time programs? Given I'd forgo the summer internship if I continue working while studying online, or do the one year

Make sense. How about big 4 and other mid tier? Deloitte S&O is my realistic target, since they're so strong in healthcare. PwC and Huron and a few others too.

From the full-time program at UNC-KF Deloitte S&O is absolutely realistic, same with PwC. Neither will recruit from the online program. The online MBA at KF is fine if you plan on staying at your company / industry and want to check the box. Trying to make a career change / move into consulting from the online MBA is simply not realistic. All of the consultancies know the difference. I had an acquaintance who tried to do this from Duke Fuqua's part-time distance MBA (though with some in person work, the 'Cross Culture' MBA) and every single consultancy knew about the program and he ended up staying in industry. Just an anecdote, but it is fairly telling.

EDIT: Where are you based and how old are you? It would help a lot in terms of advice.

Thanks for the advice and anecdote. I am realistically aiming for Big 4 S&O and similar tier.

I'm a corp finance FA overseeing a few clinical service lines at a large hospital system in NC. Been at this role for 2+yrs postgrad MS health informatics from a T10 and econ degree from T50 public flagship.

I'm a bit older at 28yo, worked a few years pre-prof level (although medical related) so I'm hesitant to forgo a salary for two more years. If not the UNC@MBA option, how about Kellogg or Johnson 1 year FT MBA? I'm switching industries but still focusing on healthcare. Or "experienced hire" route but I know they offer much less than T20 postMBA comp. And Deloitte hires internally now.
