Should I take a 3 month risk mgmt internship if I want to end up in AM/PE/financial consulting?
Hi everyone,
A big 4 consulting company offered me a 3 month internship in their risk management department.
Initially I was very excited but now I am reconsidering whether this has enough added value for me.
My goal is to end up in AM, PE or financial consulting. I am going to take the CFA exam and I am studying a MSc in Finance at a European non-target university.
I figured that some experience with risk models would come in handy if I wanted to take the financial consulting route and wouldn't hurt for AM either.
I am considering full time internships for 3 months during the final semester of my master studies..
I have already done an internship at a top tier boutique IB, but with little responsibility (think research, preparing documents etc.)
What do you guys think?
