Signing/Relocation Bonus Recapture Agreement Impact
Are concerns related to such recapture agreements, outside of the value of the award and tax implications, valid or does the employer read into questions regarding them as indicators of a troublesome employee? Has anyone heard of an employee signing an agreement that allows the employer to recapture the full value of bonuses for "unsatisfactory performance" (seemingly a vague, far lower threshold than firing for cause) and being terminated and asked to pay back the money?
