slacking as a new hire IB analyst

Hey all, I'm a newly hired i-bank analyst working in a boutique investment bank in Asia. It has been my 3rd month and I've not been busy for the past 1 month as all the deals have been sucked up by the senior analysts. The only things I'm doing right now is to help them with some document formatting and occasionally perform industry research.

I was quite slow in building a financial models and sometimes made careless mistakes in my training/trial works. But I believe it was only natural given that I'm totally fresh out of college. I've tried to ask my colleagues if there's something wrong about my work ethos, because I'd love to hear them complain so I know where I can improve. But they never said that to me. The modelling and mistakes-making have reduced significantly btw...

Am I now being punished for my past mistakes or are they genuinely busy that they just don't have time to teach me on how to execute the deals? Any thoughts?

Thanks and cheers
