SPRING Internships / Off-cycle in the USA

Hey guys,
I'm a Masters student thinking about testing the IBD market. I'll be interning in a top BB (GS/MS/JPM/BAML/Citi) this summer in the UK, but in a non-IBD related capacity. Because of the rather odd dates of my grad school program (in the US) and the time when full-time gigs tend to begin (June/July), I'm looking for a spring internship from Jan - May/June 2017 to fill the gap between graduation and starting work.

Thing is, the US just doesn't offer off-cycle and spring internships like Europe does. I'm in a situation where I'll have to be in the US during that time.
Most of the searched threads relate to Europe and any US threads are a number of years old.

Does anyone have any leads on spring/off-cycle IBD gigs in the US?

There's a ton of threads about US off-cycle internships, but I can give you my perspective. US BB off-cycle internships are difficult to get, even while attending an Ivy - some schools have dedicated programs (D-Plan for Dartmouth), but off-cycle recruitment is very, very networking heavy. You'll have to know specific people within a bank to notify you when such positions open, as they are very rarely advertised. I'm also curious about your current internship: if your final goal is IB, you are better off accepting a boutique IB rather than a "top BB" middle office role. No one cares that you were at GS/MS if you worked back-office ops.
