Starting early

I am a freshman at Rutgers Business School and I'm already set on I-Banking. What tips does anyone have on how to get my foot in the door. Also, I want to learn modeling but don't have $500 to spend on it.

If there is a library on campus you can definitely search text books regarding corporate finance, introduction to finance and finance. They are free, useful and furthermore you can network with professors if you have doubts. Nothing to lose.

You will have an extremely difficult time breaking in to IB, or any job, if you have a low GPA. That should be number 1. Obviously, take finance classes, read financial news, & stay involved in forms like this.
