Stock comp at boutiques (elite)
I tried to search on this and couldn't find much information about it.
Since a few of the boutiques are public, I assume that atleast a small portion of the compensation would be in stock. I am mostly interested in compensation at Associate level, since it's considered "Career" position compared to an analyst where the expectation is that they'll leave after 2 years, and few get a 3rd year offer.
So in case of associates (AO1/AO2/AO3 ideally to see how stock% ladders up), how does the compensation structure look like at Elite Boutiques? The ones I am thinking in this category would be Moelis, Lazard, Greenhill. Any ideas on what compensation looks like at these (I think they start base for stub year at $150K with no step up for AO1 and still AO2/AO3 at 175/200) and how does bonus get broken into cash/stock? Is it similar to some BBs where anything over $100K is 20% stock while there are others that do 20%-30% of all bonus as stock.
