Stock pitches

Wondering if anyone had any stocks they really liked and if so, what's your 2-3 line pitch on the stock?

Also, I think it would be more interesting if people could avoid discussing the usual hot stocks that are discussed ad nauseam (e.g. Google, Apple, etc.).

No one

No one, I got my SA offer a few months ago and after that I took a break from following the markets. Therefore, I was just wanting to know what people liked at the moment (i.e. get back in touch with the markets). Also, I'm getting ready to do a little mock portfolio for a class so I was going to most likely follow up on some people's suggestions and possibly use a few of them as my picks.

no such thing as a two or

no such thing as a two or three line pitch...aside from what you see on those tv talk shows. in practice nobody ever does it that way, because that's simply insufficient time to capture the meat of an investment thesis no matter how verbally efficient you are

i, as well as others, posted a number of good tips on this thread. for someone new to the field like yourself, read the following post, as it is a good start

From the traders point of view atleast what i have been told is that less is more. being able to be concise and still getting the important points across why you should be long or short is key. Problem of course is being able to get those important points across in that concise manner.

3 line pitch

Zoltek (ZOLT)

1) The use of carbon fibre is increasing in a number of engineering applications/industries.
2) Demand for carbon fibre greatly outweighs current supply.
3) The company has high quality manufacturing facilities in Hungary and Mexico (and Abilene, TX).

If anybody wants to start a more in depth discussion, feel free to PM me. I'm not sure this thread is going to take off.

Good pitch, fandago. One

Good pitch, fandago. One more line I would add is why you think the stock is undervalued (for a long position). You have explained why it's a good company, but you also need to explain why it's undervalued.
