SUNY Schools?

Im at SUNY Buffalo, and am coming to realize that there is not much recruitng from, nor many alumni in, investment banking. Not that I expect other SUNY's to have much more, but do any of the SUNY's have good recruting and alumni from IB? Binghamton? Albany? Stonybrook?

none, they all are terrible

none, they all are terrible in terms of investmetn banking recruiting.

I suggest going to Cornell, NYU Stern or Columbia if you want to stay in the state of New York

how hard

how hard would it be to transfer to cornell or stern?... The extra tuition costs would be worth it correct?

suny...

Stonybrook from what I understand has the best business school. Binghamton is also good. If you NEED to stick to suny go binghamton/stony brook. Then go to career services and beg them for a list of graduates working in finance. I guarentee there are more than you think. There wont be any recruiting, but if you do well, get some good experience in a related feild your first few years, and do some serious networking, you have a good shot.

Honestly

Recruiting sucks at all the CUNY/SUNY schools. Binghampton by name is probably the most respected. But in terms of alumni and location... and probably recruiting (for portfolio management, asst management, research, etc internships that help prepare you for IB recruiting) Baruch is probably the best bet. Only in the city can you go to school FT and intern at a hedge fund, Citigroup Asst Mgmt, etc. If you're at a non-target, alumni and work exp is critical. Baruch has both.
