It's been a little over 3 weeks since the super day. Should I cut my losses?
I haven't heard from HR or anyone.
Having a quarter life crisis. Should I cut my losses? I'm probably on the waitlist, right?

ya bail
if they call you later then it'll be a nice surprise, but I wouldn't wait on that anymore
You're fucked. Sorry man, it happened to me recently as well. These days it seems like if you dont hear back within three days you're really not likely to get the slot
You should never step your foot off the gas pedal. Don't stop recruiting until you have an offer in your hand. I got rejected from a BB 1.5 week after my super day and lost of a lot of time when I could be pushing.
I'd try to get into contact and write a follow-up message just to make sure.
If there's a banker you were close with, can be good to reach out to him/her in addition to HR; may be more willing to give you the downlow over a phone call.
More than 2 weeks after Superdays and no news - anyone have any experience of this? (Originally Posted: 03/07/2010)
Hello all:
I had Sales and Trading final round superdays for Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley more than two weeks ago and am yet to hear anything other than "we are still in decision making phase" & "you are being considered for a position in NY", etc.
What do you gus think this means - could it all be wait list stuff or maybe HR bureaucracy?
Obviously I want to find out as early as possible but the practical reason I am asking you guys is that I am considering following up on contacts in other firms and was looking to get a better idea about what this delay might mean before doing so.
Thanks in advance for your advice/experience.
i personally think its a ding. Typically they will respond on the same day if they liked you.
Generally means a ding. I was contacted once 3 weeks after a superday and was given an offer. I told them I had accepted elsewhere (due to an exploding offer), and the lady made a snide remark about how some banks aren't as flexible as others.
I'm in the same boat with Morgan Stanley. I had a Summer Research Associate super day two weeks back and haven't heard back at this point. I e-mailed the recruiter a couple days ago but did not get a reply. My guess is that they had other candidates who they made an offer to, and are waiting to hear back from them before making an offer or (more likely) dinging. Its a frustrating process to say the least...
I imagine some people get rejected soon after so let's assume that I (and you ZBov - though I am going for the Summer Analyst position) am on a waitlist.
Do you guys know the usual time before expiry for those offers which some people get soon after the superday? It must be that case that they will have to decide in the not so distant future...
my experience with ms is that they are sometimes pretty slow moving. everywhere else, though, that generally means a ding.
its usually a ding...sorry man
Superday two weeks ago and no response (Originally Posted: 02/21/2014)
I had a superday two weeks ago. They originally said they'd get back to me in a day or two. First, HR called back after a couple days to say they hadn't reached a decision and they'd get back the next day. Didn't get back to me. Then, at the end of the week I emailed them to ask what the situation was and they said they were delayed for some bs reason and they'd send me an update soon.
Is this place just messing with me and waiting until they get the responses from the candidates they gave offers to? I'm just kind of like wtf is going on.
Yeah you're on a waitlist
2.5 weeks after final round (Originally Posted: 02/07/2013)
Hi everyone,
I had a final round BB s&t assessment center more than 2 weeks ago for an SA position. My recruiter said he would most likely let us know within 3 days. I sent him an email a few days ago and he did not respond. Should I just assume he's not going to get back to me? Seems pretty cold.
I'm also a US citizen interviewing for a London position, could it be a Visa issue?
is it MS/GS?
These seem to be very slow over here, I only got a reply after about 2 weeks. Dont sweat it.
Also, dont email - call. If you dont know the number - call the switchboard and ask for Graduate Recruitment. It's OK to call and ask.
Good luck!
Usually you hear back within 24 hours.. some banks are slower (MS definitely), though. Unfortunately, as of right now I would think you don't have a spot and unless someone doesn't accept you will not be working at this firm.
