One way of getting comfortable with TMT investing is to start with companies that have exposure to industries/businesses you (or the fund) are comfortable with.

I've "valued" all sorts of businesses/industries and the only industry that deserves its own book on valuation are financials/banks (ok maybe oil & gas too). Everything else can be done using some sort of cash flow metric.

hm, you mean something like a GPS tech device if you're firm is big into trucking entities? I'm trying to get the concept right
