Tell current employer about new employer?
Monkeys,
I'm currently an REPE Analyst. I've accepted an offer at another firm and want to gather some thoughts on whether or not it is smart to mention the name of the new employer when asked as I give my notice period. Also, it would be good to gather some thoughts on best practices when giving your notice period.
Don't think it matters, wouldn't offer it it up but if they ask go for it. They'll find out who you work for anyways later on.
They are going to find out in two weeks anyway, no harm in telling them. More importantly, don't talk trash about your current company or anyone there during your exit interview, even if they absolutely suck. RE is a small industry, don't burn bridges.
Tell current gf the name of future gf or not?
Why do you need to tell? You have no need to. If they really want to know, in today's age, they can simply search you on LinkedIn months from now.
