That one question that always gets you stumped..

As summer creeps up slowly, many students are still trying to find themselves an internship. There are many questions that I find students (like myself, when I'm not binge watching shows in between breaks or dreading the term GPA) asking their friends and upper years who have been through finance related interviews. Such interviews involve technical and behavioral questions and I find most students do well on the technical part and not so well on the behavioral. A popular question that I often come across is "What do I say, if the interviewer(s) ask me to tell a joke?"

So I pose to everyone (hopefully someone) reading this, how would you tackle such interview question?

Tell them a joke. Keep it PC but still try to be funny with it. A personal favorite is: A man and his pet giraffe walk into a bar and start taking shots. Not too long after, the giraffe lays down and passes out, he's done for the night. The man continues to drink for a little bit and then decides to leave. As he is walking out of the door, the bartender says, "Hey! are you just gonna leave that lyin' there?" to which the man replies, "What do you mean? that's a giraffe!" Usually gets a chuckle or two if you say it right and really get into it / act it out a bit.

That's a pretty good one, haven't heard it before. I usually go with a similar style of jokes.

That would work if they weren't a supporter of Clinton, kind of a gamble though.
