THIS IS HOW YOUR APPLICATION SHOULD LOOK LIKE!...for CITI anyways
Got this from a friend. Also on Deal breaker... very creative indeed.
Last i hear there are similar cv send to other banks, and she got interview lined up already.
I receivedthe original PPT plus facebook and University photo already from chain mails going around.

Citi Analyst Applicant Creates 11-Page Presentation On Why She Should Get The Job
By Bess Levin
Share. When you’re applying for a gig on Wall Street these days, you’ve got to do something that will set you apart from the crowd. Jobs are scarce and while anyone can tell a firm why they should be hired, few go the extra mile to show. Armed with this knowledge and the knowledge that competition for positions at Citi is fierce, one recent applicant knew she had to raise the stakes. She didn’t just send Citi a resume and cover letter indicating her interest and qualifications– anyone can do that. She sent them an 11-page presentation entitled “I’m Always Awake With Citi: 9 Reasons Why You SHOULD Hire Me As Your Investment Banking Analyst” filled with headers like “Smart” and lotsa clip art. Perhaps it was the reasons, perhaps it was the fact that she appealed to someone at Citi’s love of its insomniac tagline, but we’re told she’s been asked to come in next week. (We’re also told she created similar presentations for other banks, such as BAML, which has also invited her to stop by next week, and that she has interviews set up with “several” firms. Citi may be her “dream,” but they’re not the only ones who should be offered a piece of this and girlfriend is a hustler.) Job-seekers, take note.
i got this within couple hrs at the other half of the world after she sent to HR
these stuff really travel fast
That is impressive
Haha is WSO full of sheep that just follows whatever sentiment the OP has?
The other thread had the OP calling her out and it was a feeding frenzy.
Yeah, I can't see why anyone in their right mind would give her a job. I mean, sure, it's great she showed initiative and all, but come on.. typos and horrible grammar in a presentation WHY they should want her? Unless they want her for a HK office, I honestly cannot in any way imagine her even getting an email back.
Honestly, this is a joke. I could see this working for a non-US gig, maybe. Do you really think that many grammatical errors would warrant a call back? Not to mention it looks like something I made for a middle school science presentation. No chance.
lollll i got this a few days back haha
too many basic spelling and grammatical errors. this demonstrates that she is basically inflating her ability to pay attention to detail. Also that she didn't take enough time to carefully go though her presentation to ensure it was error free, she didn't double check.Looks easy on the eye but the devil is in the detail. I'd give her a 100% for innovation and forward thinking but she failed to analyse her own presentation.
i dont like it one bit!
this bitch reminds me of tha motherfuckin fobs at U of T's undergrad business program
bump
I wonder what this loser fob was thinking before she made this catastrophic "presentation", she should have put pictures of dragons in the ppt slides
yes, the presentation is below par for IBD standards...
but she got interviews... that is more than most people with picture perfect resume.
I mean look at her backgound, not very impressive at all. Probably this was a shot in the dark, and it just might hit.
despite the overwhelming mistakes on the presentation, one should pause and reflect on what have you done to get the job recently?
Kudos to Citi and BofAML for giving her a shot.
This girl is not in the same vein as Alexy Veyner or whatever his name was. Clearly she took the time and diligence to work on this, despite English obviously not being her first language. She doesn't come across as overly-aggressive in the presentation, and seems like someone who just really wants the job.
Whether she gets the job or not, definite props for having the guts to try.
