Thoughts on HF Treasury vs. Boutique IB Internship (Sophomore Year)

Hi all,

Just a bit of background: I'm a finance major, finishing my sophomore year at a non-target university. I worked as a data analyst intern at financial data analytics firm my freshman year/summer and just finished up working as a tax intern at a top VC firm.

I've accepted an offer to work on the treasury team at a well known HF for this summer. I think I'm going to come away with a solid brand name on my resume as well as strong experience but I'm not sure how relevant it'll be for IB.

I'm wondering how the HF treasury summer internship positions me for SA recruiting next year vs. working at a boutique IB this summer. Which is the better move?

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts.

Best,
V
