Is it ever too late to follow up?
I go to a non-target state school and back in August/September I was emailing local boutiques in my area to find an internship for either the Fall or Spring (anytime really). I reached out to pretty much every boutique related to banking or PE in my area which is only around 10 firms. I only got 3 responses and got on the phone with 2 of them. At first, I was mostly interested in hearing about their backgrounds and asked for advice. After 1 of the calls, he asked for my resume so he could pass it along. I sent it to him and then never heard anything back. At the time I was a Sophomore, with no experience and the only highlight on my resume was my GPA. I'm assuming this is the reason why I didn't hear back.
I now work as an intern in accounting at a F500 and will work here through the summer. I'm hoping this will help me land an offer with a local boutique in the fall. This will require me to reach out again to the people that didn't have the time for me the first time around. How should I go about reaching out to these people again (especially the guy who already asked for my resume)? Should I be more straightforward and tell them what I can offer upfront, essentially asking for a job?
Appreciate any help.

Is it bad form to email a contact with a question, after you met them at an info session but never followed up, like a month ago? I never have any good questions to ask to follow up with, and I feel toolish just saying thank you, nice to meet you, etc.
in the future, follow up even if to say thanks.
You should always thank for their time and it's not hard to come up with a question really. Even if you know the answer still ask to show interest.

Monkeys,
I grabbed a networking coffee last week (6 days ago) with an Associate at a reputable firm that I hopefully see myself working at in the near to medium term.
Is it too late to send a follow up? What should I say to make it less strange?
Thanks in advance!
