Touchscreen for the Mac finally here?

So while the new MBPs have a touch bar, the screen itself isn’t touchscreen. However, a company called AirBar is looking to change that.

Clip the magnetic AirBar to the bottom bezel, plug it into the USB port and that’s it, you can control the screen with your fingers. It doesn’t add a capacitive layer, like on a phone. Instead, the bar projects a field of infrared light that recognizes the location of your finger.
The currently available Windows PC version is compatible with 15.6-inch devices and retails at $70. The new MacBook air compatible version will work on 13.3-inch laptops and will retail for $100.

They're currently working on compatibility with other MacBook models and Windows laptop sizes, though it's still surprising to me that Apple wont implement this feature themselves. Anyone think that adding touch support is worth the additional $100?

Pretty much no excuse for having to modify an already very expensive compute to have features that are common on other computers.

IMO, I think the issue is Mac OS isn't really designed to be used with tough. Windows 10 is optimized for a touch screen which is why it works.
