TPG "Funding Analyst"

Role is with TPG, role is "Funding Analyst." Is this a megafund PE analyst job, or some other thing that's not the same as front-office?

Some description of the responsibilities..

CAPITAL MARKETS
New Deals / Acquisition Financing
- Design capital structures
- Negotiate commitment papers
- Negotiate full credit documents with lawyers and bankers (e.g. credit agreements, offering memoranda)
- Coordinate debt marketing materials and debt syndication process
- Design and implement pre- and post-closing hedging strategies
Portfolio Companies
- New capital raises (e.g. acquisition financing, recaps)
- Managing capital structures (e.g. amend and extends, re-pricings, refinancings)
- Risk management (e.g. covenant risk, liquidity risk, refinancing risk)
- Liability management
Equity Monetization
- Analyze impact of capital raising strategies on portfolio company’s capital structures factoring in the market reaction and valuation implication
- Design and coordinate initial public offerings and secondary add-ons

FUNDRAISING Capital Raising - Develop written marketing materials including Private Placement Memos and pitch book presentations - Coordinate inbound and outbound meetings with investors - Respond to investors’ specific diligence questions - Participate in outbound and in-house marketing meetings - Actively manage database of investors, including the maintenance of contact information and meeting notes, and the design of reports that assist the fundraising process Investor’s Conferences/ Internal Strategy sessions - Assist with the coordination of all elements of the 600+ attendee Investor’s Conference and other annual events, including developing the agenda and determining event logistics - Work with senior professionals to draft presentations which review portfolio companies, private equity industry, the economy, and other topics Research – Source relevant data, anecdotes, and illustrations for various investment topics, themes, case studies and industries. Quarterly letters – Research and draft General Investment Environment section of Quarterly/Annual letters to investors. Firm updates – Assist in updates for Management Committee, Partners Meetings, and Firm Conferences regarding Private Equity LP environment or specific campaigns or issues. Other presentations – Draft, research, and edit speeches and presentations given by founding partners for conferences, business schools, government agencies, LP boards, etc. Compliance – Work closely with deal professionals and the compliance team to ensure that marketing materials and sales literature are reviewed and approved in accordance with firm's policies and procedures, including applicable SEC and FINRA rules.
