I would like to have a formalized "Career." Ultimately I would like to end of a hedge fund. All the hedge fund guys I talk to say the best route is to go through a BB with a trading division. Do you have suggestions for otherwise?

Other names to look at? Glencore, Trafigura, Mercuria, etc. have very high standards right now as they are experiencing a wash of trading talent moving from banks to merchant trading firms like theirs. Trafigura got 6,000 applications within 4 hours of that program opening for application in 2012, most of which were standard pedigree and experience you would expect on high level wall st.

Bc there are a lot of other routes (prop shops, commodity trading, MM and boutique banks). Shouldn't narrow yourself down to just BBs, because odds are (sorry to say this), you won't get in. Especially these days.
