Training with oil traders

Hello all,

Little about me. Currently a trader assistant on the Gasoline Desk for trading and supply Co reporting to lead traders. There are a few traders on the desk so much difficulties getting one on one exposure. Mainly responsible for keeping communication clear between desk, operations, back office and risk management. Also inputting commercial data into ETRM system, provide daily reports on PnL evolution, re evaluating broker statements, and hoc analysis.

Been here for 3 years already, and I don't feel like I've have not been getting much exposure to the physical/paper trading. More secretary work.

Was curious if there were any junior/senior oil traders on here that would be interested in training me in such.

You said it yourself, and don't expect anything different 3 years from now either. Trader assistant roles are unbelievably misunderstood and many look at this role as a first step to eventual trading, which is far from the case. Don't take my word for it, many others will tell you the same, traders included.
