When you say more traditional campus do you mean like what you see in the movies and on tv? Because I would say that you're probably much better off at NYU than just about any state school and transferring because you have some unrealistic expectation of college isn't the best idea.

If you are still looking at Finance, Stern is probably your best bet.

You can play the liberal arts card and try for Brown, Columbia, Dartmouth, UChicago and Northwestern. Keep in mind that Stern will still probably place better on average, but I have not had issues (at one of the schools above)

Unless you can substantially improve in terms of school quality or ranking or whatever you chose to use as "tangible" guidance, I wouldn't do it.

Think hard if you don't want to make NYU work for you. Seems to be a common theme among freshmen to dislike their school and be somewhat disappointed.
