Trying to help my mother not get scammed. Have a prospectus question
Just a quick answer would be a huge help to my family. My mother is single and naive, and I am trying to help her retire securely.
My question is on a prospectus, are the annual returns described the returns my mother actually would have seen had she been invested, that is after operating expenses, 12-b fees, and soft dollars? Or are they merely reflections of the manager's performance from which I must deduct the relevant fees to come up with the returns investors actually saw? Please see the attached photo as a reference to the returns I'm speaking of, they are for ONGAX JP Morgan class A shares.
Also, what would the procedure be to find the lowest fee, passive alternative to a given fund (with the same risk profile)? Thank You!
