UK Real Estate PE, which tax rate for modeling?
Hi Forum,
I have a modeling test coming up with a small UK commercial PERE.
Because I have been on the lending side, I am not familiar with the tax side.
Can someone tell me what he/she uses as a tax rate for modeling purposes? Google tells me sth like 4% of purchase price (stamp duty land tax). I thought that the yearly tax rate should be sensitized as a % of net cold rent!?
Is anyone a bit more familiar with UK property tax? I just don't want to come up with a percentage that is completely off during the test.
Help is much appreciated!
Kind regards
For stamp duty on an asset deal check para. 18 on the document on the link below. If it's a share deal, you can check on para. 19
