UNDERGRADUATE at Bocconi, SSE, CBS or UCL?
What's the best place for an undergraduate degree in business/finance/economy?
UCL will leave me with a lot of debts.
Bocconi, SSE, and CBS would be basically free in my case thanks to Norwegian funds (Lånekassen).
I'm asking for UG only, I'm pretty sure I will do masters at another school.
In the future, I might want to be some sort of manager/analyst/ for a big firm/(I/)BB hopefully.
Of course I am not guaranteed admission to any of these places, but say I could choose any of them.
Thank you.
You prolly wanna apply to all and see where you get in and then ask again what school would be best.
Yes I will. Where did you do you UG and where did you do your master? Says you're an investment analyst (where?). Thank you!
Feel free to PM me
Where do you want to work post UG? That should inform your decision most. If it's London, UCL is a fairly straight forward choice should you be accepted.
It's just that it's so expensive! I want to work in UK (or US if I ever get the chance) post UG/grad school. If I do my master straight after UG, either in UK or US, won't I have a good chance of getting a job where I do my master? Doesn't master matter more than UG?
It definitely doesn't matter more, the best move is to do UCL for UG and get a summer analyst position. Doing a 1 year master's after UG doesn't give you this option.

SSE (assuming it's Stockholm School of Economics?) places a ton of students in IB both regionally in Scandinavia, but also in London. If you look through people from Sweden at BBs in London on LinkedIn you will see a majority of them have gone to SSE. It definitely has my vote considering your future goals and budget constraints.
EDIT: I assume you're aware the undergraduate programme is in Swedish? I think it even requires you to have taken Swedish at a certain level in high school.
Yes, I'm aware of that :) I'm Norwegian, so I think I'd be able to do well on the Swedish proficiency test.
Anyway, do you think I should rather attend a university where the courses are in English? Because knowing business English will be necessary if I want to work abroad. Do you know if SSE Riga is as highly regarded as SSE in Stockholm? Also, do you know how CBS compares to SSE?
Thank you so much!
A decent amount of the courses are taught using English material anyways so I wouldn't let that factor into my decision, students end up working all over the globe after graduation.
Riga is not regarded as highly as the Stockholm campus as far as I know.
I'm sure there are people who would disagree with me but I believe SSE is more competitive compared to CBS purely based on my own anecdotal evidence (going through interviews and seeing where people have studied and also based on people I know who have gone to CBS and SSE). That being said CBS is still a fantastic school which will give you some great opportunities, but I would personally choose SSE over CBS.
