Is there any sense in making that move? I have no clue how to answer this question for you or anyone.

What are your professional career goals? What are your personal life goals? How impactful/successful are you in your current PE role? Are you being driven by what others view as successful versus being an independent thinker? What exactly are you looking for in a Blackstone/KKR role that a Vista/Thoma Bravo can’t offer? Is this a partner track opportunity or a 2-3 year program? Do you have interest in grad school?

In my professional life, the best firm for me is the firm that gives me a long-term partner track opportunity (without grad school) and a culture/platform to grow professionally by taking on more responsibility each year. In my personal life, having time to spend with family is vital and I would gladly take less pay for more of this pleasure. Therefore, if I were making a decision among the firms you mention, these elements would drive my decision making. However, I have no clue what’s important for you.
