Want to work in different location than interviewing for

I have a first round interview for Accenture MCDP next week. I applied through the UT Austin website, so they automatically set me up to interview with the Houston office. I'm not from Texas and graduated in May, so I have no interest in moving back there. I already received another offer for a job in NYC, and ACN is a better opportunity but I'd really like to move to East Coast. Once I start interviewing with the Houston office am I stuck? The recruiter that contacted me works specifically with the Texas locations, so when would be the right time to bring this up?

You need to tell them by end of the final round, but earlier won't hurt. Also even though you are interviewing in Houston, chances are they asked you for office preference where you should have identified your choices. Or they will during the first/second round. If you said something else, get it fixed.

The HR person you work with will work with others to figure out where to place you. Also give several options, like NYC first, followed by DC, Boston, etc. or whatever makes sense for you.
