War of the MiMs

Hello everyone! I am a recent business student that applied to many MiMs in Europe and i would like your opinions (pros/cons, advice, guidance...) on my choices:

ESADE MIM (i like the uni but not sure about the programme)

Bocconi MIM (i heard that it is difficult for international students to fit in)

Imperial College business school MIM (this programme is new and is for people with no business background (however i didnt take several courses from their programme so i am eligible)

IE MIM (heard that IE is overrated...)

LSE one of the management programmes like management and strategy (i can't find a programme i really love and very theoratical).

Regarding what i am looking for: a good recognized uni , a place where you can easily fit in/meet other students as an international students. I think that they all have good placements so i am not that worried on that issue.

Thank you for your help!

Sorry, I'm a bit confused about your background. Are you European?

And yes most MiM programs you've mentioned tend to do well on placements. That's mainly just an effect of the fact that Europe doesn't have the same MBA infrastructure/complex that the US does for minting business 'professionals' so Europe tends to rely on a patchwork of different Masters degrees (like MiM, also MScF, and assorted other ones in addition to the newer MBA) to fill commerce/management/analyst roles.

Honestly though you seem to be asking a cultural/fit question which I don't think can really be answered well except by alumni so if possible you should reach out to them, visit the school, that sort of deep-dive if that's something you're concerned about.

Hey everyone! Thank you for your replies :) i will take what you are saying into account!

rg and co: are you choosing LSE just because of prestige or because you heard that it has a nice student life? Or something else?

nulliusinverba: Yes i do have a European background :) I think you are kind o right i will do my best to contact them (or if someone is on this forum)! What i am looking for is a cool student life, but of course i do want to take into account every aspect. For example if a choice is clearly considered better than the others than i would like to know!

I think i might go for ESADE or Imperial as i like both! But well since i am always looking for the best choice, are Bocconi or IE for example worth considering?

Any other suggestions/opinions are welcome!

Honestly I would just heavily weight location above all else. If you're looking at LSE or Imperial, the latter is in Knightsbridge, both are in the center of London. In terms of placement, networking, urban life (if you're into that of course), just lots of people in general, I really can't see how you go wrong with London.

I don't know much about non-UK schools but if its for finance or anything corporate, London is pretty much the winner regardless in my book in Europe unless you some very specific thing going on.

I see! In terms of city yes i really like London! But as i said i look at many different aspects. I think i prefer Imperial (altought not as presitigous than LSE) because its more practical than LSE's programmes. Unless i am totally wrong and LSE is above Imperial by a huge margin...

Well i don't really have a specific field for now: probably Consulting.

By the way: everyone could you please tell me if there is a big difference between IE/Bocconi/ESADE?
