Warren Buffett Diagnosed With Prostate Cancer
We might not always agree with his politics, but a glorious mind should be respected regardless of whether or not it agrees with yours. This is sad news, but he should be okay. Let's hope the experts remain bullish on his health.

Warren E. Buffett says he has received a diagnosis of prostate cancer, the longtime Berkshire Hathaway chief disclosed in a public letter to shareholders on Tuesday afternoon.
Mr. Buffett wrote in the letter that the disease is in stage I and that he has been told by doctors that it is “not remotely life-threatening or even debilitating in any meaningful way.”
The diagnosis came last Wednesday, and he underwent several tests on Thursday and on Tuesday. They revealed that the cancer has not spread beyond his prostate.
“I feel great – as if I were in my normal excellent health – and my energy level is 100 percent,” he wrote.
Mr. Buffett wrote that he will begin two months of daily radiation treatment in July, limiting his travel.
The disclosure of his illness will likely stoke speculation over who will succeed him as chief executive of Berkshire. In February, Mr. Buffett, who turns 82 this summer, told investors for the first time that he had selected a successor, but did not name the candidate.
Is it unethical to capitalize on this by launching AwkwardStudentsVisitWarrenBuffettintheHospital?
Oh man, I completely forgot the photo blog link was in my signature when I posted this thread, haha. Hopefully it's not too tactless here! Good thing he's not in any major danger, then we'd have had to switch the blog up.

Every man will develop prostate cancer, it's inevitable. The prostate grows as a man ages, hence the condition Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH). Sometimes the best treatment for stage 1 prostate cancer is no treatment at all, and mostly men will die from other diseases (heart attack/stroke) at this age apart from the slow growth of the prostate cancer.
I have a feeling that Buffett is the type to guy who would obsess over his health. He probably has an army of doctors that he goes to to make sure that he can live to 105. I would not be surprised that if another cancer develops in him, his many doctors will pick it up at an early stage.
Stage 1 prostate cancer is almost a non-event. It is incredibly common.
