What actually is Structured Products Marketing?
I have an offer for such a desk, and tbh I don't have that great an idea of what they do. I imagine they are a link between sales and structuring, but what actual role does such a desk have on a day-to-day basis? I would appreciate any help.
If the Sales team deal with clients on a day-to-day basis, and Structuring deals with the actual product modelling and engineering, are the Marketing team a sort of hybrid? This is a 'front-office' role, but how much day-to-day market action are they exposed to, and is it more about pitching and presenting to potential clients before they are then 'handed over' to Sales?
I would appreciate any help from anyone with an idea of what goes on.
Cheers,
