What can I do with ML?
Hey
Im a college freshman currently interning at UBS.
Im very smart and eager to build my career.
After i finish my internship at UBS i want to get my ass into ML.
If i have ML on my resume at such a young age what can i do?
Also im a minority.
I want people to look at my resume and be like wow you were at ubs and ml at that age.
I want to show that at a young ass age i was makin big moves.
Well you can probably do a lot. Unless you have a really arrogant attitude... smartguy.
future john thain
I'm a college freshman interning with Merrill Lynch. I'm assuming you're doing a PWM internship. UBS is a good firm same quality like ML. I mean its no really like we're comparing GS and some third tier boutique bank.
What school do you go to?
^ yeah, John Thain was pretty arrogant.
dude you should probably practice working on not sounding like a douche while asking for advice
Not that significant of a difference between Merrill and UBS. Maybe aim for Goldman...
1 UBS internship = 60k starting salary 1 ML internship = 200k starting salary, straight out of undergrad. 1ML internship + 1 UBS internship + being a minority = 400k base salary + models & bottles
It's obviously just that simple
Do you guys actually think ANYONE talks like that? This guy would fail an intro Ebonics course. His syntax is so off. If you are going to troll, do it properly you fucktard. If he went to Harlem, he would get his head shoved up his ass faster than he ejaculates.
This dude is obviously a troll trying to make minorities look bad. The fact that this is his second post just confirms that. He is probably some nerdy kid who failed to get any offers and is taking it out on his AA classmates who were far more qualified than him in the first place. Grow the fuck up.
why are you only focusing on PWM smartguy
hahaha o god you guys are funny
Let me be a little more professional since you wont take me serious. If you think I come off as an asshole thats cool. Im just very competitive and want to do well. Im Black, and I am interning at UBS (only black guy there). Anyways, I just want to get started in IB. After I finish this internship I want to get into ML, MS or any other top bank. I go to a PAC 10 school.
What do you guys think I should do next?
Go make walk-on for the football team at your PAC 10 school.
There is a clear distinction between being competitive and being rude, arrogant, and unpleasant.
If you want to accomplish anything (and I daresay you have the potential) you may want to work on that first with respect to what you should do next. But hey, what do I know?

Dude forget how you psychically perceive how I am through the internet
"I want to show that at a young ass age i was makin big moves."
-----If you wanna be making moves on the Street, you gotta have no attachments; nothing that you cannot walkout on in 30 seconds flat if you see the heat around the corner.

best fucking thing i've read on WSO... this shit is something ari gold would say.
Actually, I think Ari Gold would say something along the lines of "Wall Street is like High School Smartguy23!.....You can't fuck the prom queen until she finds out her worst enemy offered to blow you under the bleachers."
ML >>>>>>>>> ubs for ibd. For PWM they're probably equal.
