What does this email mean?
Hey guys, I had an interview last thursday and i sent them a thank you email the next day.
During the interview, they told me to expect an email regardless of their decision on Monday or Tuesday April 23rd or 24th (which is next week) So i'm kind of confused about this email I just got. I don't know if it means I got rejected or its just a simple reply back to my thank you email.
Good morning (name),
I enjoyed meeting with you last week as well and I wish you all the best
in your future career pursuits. Best of luck with your upcoming exams!
Kind regards,
(name)
Also this email is from the analyst who did the interview, usually I think the rejection emails come from HR. I don't know.
.
it's just a simple reply back to your thank you mail...the guy is being polite. Doesn't really mean anything either good or bad.
You could try following up with the analyst with a note.

That sounds like a rejection e-mail.
I wouldn't worry. Don't listen to any other negativity. THis sounds like a follow-up. When you go through recruiting, and get a rejection, it's unmistakable. It's happened to all of us.
Yeah, I feel like the fact that it's so far before the actual date they told you they would reply means that you might be in the clear on this one...
It does lean towards sounding like a rejection
Depends who the person in question is. If the email is from the person who will be making the decision on your candidacy then it could be a rejection. If it's just one out of x number of people you interviewed with and HR will be communicating the final decision then it's just a polite response to your email.
Thanks for the replies everyone. I really don't know what to make of it but I'll know in a week or so anyway.
Don't sweat that. It's just a follow up to your e-mail. Good luck.
It means he wants a cock pic.
Oh dear. It's the end of the world as we know it.
the number of semi-colons in the email is equal to the number of fucks I give about your situation.
I agree he was probably just responding to your thank you. But, it is weird to wish you good luck in your future career pursuits. That kind of makes it sound like he assumes you won't be getting this position.
I got emails like that from non-decision making analysts or young associates just following up my thank you emails. And I got cbs and offers after that. It's not a rejection.
