What is a "bagger"
I think I'm up to speed on most banker lingo, but from time to time my boss drops "bagger". Example: "I think we're looking at a 4 bagger maybe a 5 bagger on this one". Any ideas?

Is it like referring to a member of the opposite sex as a 2 bagger or 3 bagger? You know? In banking, possibly referring to an ugly deal.
Come on guys, bagger = bag of sand= grand = 1,000
Where does it come from? Bag of sand = grand (ye olde english)
While we are on topic, Yard = Billion also from the English, Miliard. Finally Monkey = 500 as I believe the 500 rupee note had a picture of a monkey on it
A multiple on your money - i.e. you invest 100 bucks, get back 500 - that's a 5 bagger.
seconded
yup
The term was popularized idk if originated though by Peter Lynch
If there's one thing I remember from reading his book, its that term
Echoing Banker88, multiple.

Thanks smartass, I tried googling 5 bagger and you get an urban dictionary definition for a chick so ugly you need five bags to hide her face.
To those of you who were helpful, thank you.
lol +1
I love the trolling here, special props to Redrut and Countrydog, well done.
I've also heard the 'two bagger' used to mean a girl requiring a double condom, or a girl that you NEED a condom and a bag for her head.
Just for future reference on the 5 bagger discussion:
I think the monkey shit I got thrown at me for my comment was well worth the direction I took this thread.
That said, well done to Banker88 for resisting the temptation.
