What is BNP Paribas SA Corporate Banking?
This is what the info sheet says:
London - summer internship 2015 - Corporate Banking Europe - Coverage
"Our Summer Internship programme provides the ideal opportunity for candidates to experience the full scope and diversity of interaction that occurs between Large Corporate clients and a global Corporate Investment Bank.
The Coverage function manages and co-ordinates all interactions and discussions that occur in all product areas (from M&A, through all types of capital raising, and through to the management of day to day risks and liquidity) with
our client base, on a global basis.
Our Summer Internship provides the opportunity for successful applicants to:
- Gain a real insight into all of the ways a leading Corporate Investment bank is relevant to Large Corporates
- Understand what are the risks taken by the bank on behalf of its clients and how they are monitored
- Understand how long term relationships are formed and managed at all levels between the Bank and Large Corporate clients
- Benefit from the wide offering of a major Corporate Investment Bank to gain a deeper understanding of key product areas (Fixed Income, Equity, Capital Markets, Commodity Derivatives, Trade Finance, Acquisition Financing, Cash Management etc.) and have the ability to meet and question staff members from these areas in a weekly forum.
This programme is also enriched by an initial week of professional training to help enhance technical and professional skills."
So is this some broad name to describe all the SA internships that fall under the BNP Investment and Corporate Banking Divison. I'm guessing we all do some kind of rotation between IBD and Corporate Banking.
