What licensing/registration is required for consulting?
The title says it all.
Short version is I have a friend who is looking to break into consulting but has a felony drug charge. The felony can be expunged in a couple of years, but I know this disqualifies her from being FINRA licensed.
I was wondering what kind of registration requirements management/strategy/economic consulting firms typically have. Would her charge auto-ding her or are they more lightly regulated in regards to felonies?
Any help would be appreciated.
No licensing/registration is required for consulting.
Only exception would be if you were doing really specialized consulting that required specific exptertise, like Six Sigma.
No management consulting firm requires a specific license.
