What's a good amount of banks to apply to for a SA internship?
I applied to around 25 banks, BB, MM, and Boutiques. Is that a good number or should I keep going?
I'm attending a non-target, finance major, 3.5~ GPA.

More is never enough when you're coming from a non-target.
All of them.
I'd say from a non-target you're going to get a 2-5% interview rate and if you're lucky 10% offer rate. That means you need at least 100 to even possibly be considered for a spot.
Um, as a non-target myself who got a FT BB offer, NOT A SINGLE INTERVIEW was from a resume drop. None. Resume drops for non-targets are a waste of time. Every single one of my interviews came through a personal connection I made through networking. Please, while it is great you applied to places, get on the phone with people and develop relationships, ask for advice, and get them to pass along your resume. Otherwise your resume will be thrown out by a computer program or way too busy HR person. Just my experience.
Thanks for your post, really puts things in perspective.
Can you tell me a little about the specific methods you used to procure an internship?
I haven't found any alumni on linkedin. So that's out. My personal network is very small and I'm at a non target.
