DId you already email them a thank you note? If not, you should send one out and ask them in that email. If you already sent a thank you note, hopefully the day after the interview, now would be a good time to follow up.
A 6 day gap between contact isn't that big of a deal in normal circumstances. It is REALLY not a big deal when said company is currently in the process of moving their headquarters internationally, and the new head of your department has been on the job for a total of 9 days. I'm sure his focus is strictly on getting caught up and settled, and not with securing your position. I would strongly suggest not contacting him tomorrow, and wait at least another week. Be patient your situation isn't particularly worrisome and it sounds like both contacts with the company went really well. Good luck!

Hi everyone,
I recently interviewed for a corporate treasury position at a large company out west. I was invited to interview 10 days ago with the director of finance and it went really well. He said I was the youngest and least experienced but was impressed by my resume and forwarded me onto the treasury director (future manager). I had a phone interview with the treasury director 6 days ago since he was in Toronto. The company is moving their headquarters from Toronto to San Diego and he was back there for the past week gathering all the information for the move. Everyone is being replaced except for the executive team. He was only with the company for 3 days when i interviewed. The treasury department consisted of 6 people in Toronto and now it'd be down to 2 (director and analyst). It was only supposed to be a short interview but went on for 45 minutes and felt that it was going really well. Now its the following Tuesday and I still haven't heard anything from the company.
Here are my questions:
1. Should I wait until tomorrow to call and see if they had made a decision?
2. Who should I call, the director of finance, the treasury director, or the executive assistant who first called me to set up the interviews?
3. Have I not heard anything because I'm pretty low on the priority list?
Thanks I'm just getting anxious because I haven't heard anything yet. I figured I'd at least get a rejection email if they decided to pass on me

At best you're on the waitlist in case their first choices don't get through the next round. They have your contact details. Contacting them isn't going to do anything than put you and some HR staffer through an uncomfortable conversation.

I had an on-campus interview 3 days ago and was told I would hear back early next week. Today (Friday), a friend of mine got a call saying he got the second round and that it's on Monday... Should I follow up again and ask where they are in the recruiting process/where I fit into that? Should I call?
They had mentioned that they weren't exactly having a big official superday per se, and rather just a smaller second round at their office. Do you think it's possible that they might invite me/a few other candidates back on a later day if things don't pan out for the first round?
I'm not in-industry (student), and I understand it's a small place so things work differently, but I'd go ahead and give them a call. Get your voice, your POSITIVE ATTITUDE, and you're excitement back in their heads to help them pick you as their new SA.

If it's a first round interview, I would always advise sending a thank you e-mail ASAP. Generally, first round cuts are made quickly, so if you wait a couple days, the decision may have been made already. Don't send both e-mail and hand written notes as that is probably excessive. A simple note will do.
As far as following-up, they probably should've told you when they will get back to you (approximately). If they haven't gotten back to you and it's past that date, then it's probably worth following up. If that date hasn't arrived, hold your horses. As someone looking for a school year internship, you are pretty low on the totem pole. As a result, you are treading a fine line because on the one hand you don't want to be a pest, but on the other, you aren't very important so it's conceivable that they're not thinking that much about you.
So just be patient at this point? I want to be tenacious but without being annoying. When should I try to reach out? I saw the posting is down from their job board, so interviews are over and there was only 4 others who were interviewing at the time. I'm assuming they've made a decision, but maybe they aren't ready to announce or have a start date set up yet?

I would call. Since you've waited so long, I don't think you need to worry about being pushy. Out of curiosity, any idea why they needed so much time?

I don't see the hurt in sending another email. Be persistent. No one is going to ding you for that.

if you need to contact them, go for the person you have the best rapport with. seems to be the executive assistant
