Where do "v-shaped" men get shirts?
Even the athletic cut shirts fit me like a tent in the waist when I get them big enough to fit in the chest and collar.

Hugo Boss makes great shirts for v-shaped men. Also try the slim fit Thomas Pink shirts.
I'll second both of these recommendations. Waiting for a sale on Hugo Boss slim fits. They're my go-to shirt, although I'll do a BB Non-Iron extra slim when traveling.
I have 1 Thomas Pink, and like it even more than Hugo Boss. But they're normally ~$200, so it's well beyond what I would feel comfortable spending on a shirt.
get back darts put into your shirts.
Just dip the bottom half of the tshirt in boiling water so it shrinks. You're welcome
While they are both hard to come by, I like the "slim stretch fit" shirts from Calvin Klein and the Hilfiger ones that are Stretch and Slim Fit at the same time as well.
Ripped a couple of non-stretch slim fit shirts (even the Boss ones mentioned above) in the armpits already, particularly when they put too much starch in there at the dry cleaners. Only going for stretch when buying new shirts.
If you aren't going bespoke (recommend CEGO personally, although there are infinite options online), you might have luck just buying quality slim-fit shirts from a retailer and having a tailor somewhere put darts in the back. I started in Brooks Brothers Extra Slim Fit, and after tearing at work twice, went to the Slim Fit and simply got darts put in. Am now running into the same issue as with the Extra Slim Fit (button strain at the chest, constraint along the yoke) several months later, need to switch over entirely to bespoke.
Am 6'1", 188 with a 42.5" chest and 31.5" waist for reference (only know because I just commissioned a new suit this week).
can you explain what it means to get darts put in your shirts? i'm 5'10" 165lbs with a 41 chest and 32 waist and constantly struggling to find shirts that fit well.
You are average sized dude, buy a normal shirt....
Drop 11 is nowhere near average, my friend.
@Spalding, your best option is MTM or bespoke. Failing that, I'd say get the BB Slim Fit and have a tailor put in darts.

"you are average size dude" - based on what, dude? 41 chest and 32 waist is hardly average.
i'd rather not measure my arms, shoulders etc. but for reference I can't even fit my upper body into slim fit charles tyrwhitt shirts. The only shirts I can get into are BB slim fit but they are huge in the waist and it looks terrible... just looking for some good advice, if you don't have any value to add then just shutup

I'm pretty average, but prefer slimmer fitting shirts and hate billowing as well. The best shirt I have for fit and comfort is Hentsch Man. Weird Brit brand that is actually pretty awesome.
CT extra slim fit are like a tent in my waist. Very little taper and the included darts don't do much. BB and TM Lewin extra slim fit were much better. Now I either go MTM or just buy shirts on sale and have a tailor fix them
