Where to apply?
Graduated from a non-target but still very reputable school in May with a relatively low gpa. No job prospects - didn't search / apply too much so it was mostly due to slacking.
So I started my MBA in Finance this July at a very non-target school only because I could go for no tuition at the time, and I will finish by July of 2015 at the latest. Ultimately looking to get my foot in the door at any BB, no particular division although I would like to work in securities or investment management.
My experience includes summer internships at MetLife in the summers of 2011 and 2012. Where / when would be the best place / time to apply?
Also, I'm thinking of applying somewhere local (possibly bank teller) if nothing comes up and finish my MBA as quickly as possible - would there be any advancement opportunities there? Any advice is appreciated.
The MBA wasn't a great choice. It will be incredibly difficult to get into a bank as an associate with no work experience. You could maybe try networking into an analyst role, but it will be an uphill battle. Start building up as much internship experience as you can.
