Speaking generally, no accounting job will pay you 6 figures right out of undergrad. In the field of accounting, however, you definitely can clear 100k after several years.
If you're looking to be well compensated in accounting, you should be looking to get into large regional or national firms, such as the Big 4, Grant Thornton, etc. Once you have passed your CPA and worked for ~2 years, you can either stay in public accounting, or move to industry. With either path, you will make 100k eventually if you are okay at your work.
There is no entitlement to a six figure job. Most people never earn six figures.
To answer your question, most accounting jobs start at around $60k. It takes a while (several years) to clear the $100k mark.

Embezzlement.
You won't make six figures in accounting straight out of undergrad, but it's definitely possible to get there in a relatively short period of time if you're a top performer and get additional education like CPA/MBA/CMA.
I have several contacts who work in accounting at F500's and made it to six figures after 6 years in the field. It isn't easy but it is attainable, and if you make it to the director/VP levels you're clearing around $200k+. This is a small percentage of the total accounting population but the possibility is there.
This is good advice. Basically stay in public long enough to get placed as a senior analyst / accountant in industry. Then carry over the same work ethic to your industry job. Three three years in industry and you will be pushing the $100k boundary (may be required to switch companies at this point). This may be sped up if the chips fall in your favor, etc.
