WHICH COMPANIES REQUIRE FIRST SITTING FOR A LEVELS?
Do you know which companies do not allow A-Level re-sits.
I've only found Deloitte which wants x amount of ucas points in the first sitting.
Do other companies allow retakes?
Please note, that we only consider a candidate's 'top' 3 A-level grades and do not accept General Studies.
Does top 3 A level grades imply first sitting?
Thank you
The companies usually state it on their websites. Do you have any mitigating circumstances as to explain why you required an extra year?
Top three A-levels means the top three highest A-level grades e.g. if you did four A-levels and scored AABC, your top three A-levels would be A, A and B which is equal to 140+120+100=360 UCAS points.
I do. I don't exactly know how the application works? Will I get the chance to explain my mitigating circumstances or will they just see my A-Level grades and disregard me? I've looked at JP Morgan and Morgan Stanley, both say nothing about A-Levels so does that mean there is no UCAS requirement?
If they don't ask then do not bother. Yes, you should always have the opportunity to explain why it took you an additional year.
I wasn't aware that both don't ask about UCAS points. Usually 300-320 UCAS points are required for large multinationals. What A-level grades did you obtain if I may ask and moreover what exactly are you applying for?
I got ACC. I aim to achieve AAB at least when I retake. I was thinking accounting and finance but I'm not fully sure what I want. Investment banking would be nice but it's a hard sector to get into and I think I'll get rejected if I tried. (Accounting is very boring according to my sister, so not sure what to do)
