Which Desks are the best at Deutsche Bank London?
I recently managed to land myself a summer intenship in Deutsche Bank's Markets Division (S&T). I was wondering which desks are the best at the moment (in terms of prestige/deal flow).
Just as a bit of context, at the moment the security I know the most about is equities, and I'm not extremely analytical so I'd rather stay away from any hardcore number crunching desks (exotics...).
Rates, money mkts etc used to be fantastic, but things have changed for Douche Bank of late...

Equities should be ok, I imagine... As to what part of organisation gets hit most, it depends on the specific situation.
Any views on distressed products group/prinicpal investments?
I'm open to it, but I'm afraid I have no idea what the deal flow/potential is for these assets. Do you have any insights?
No idea, but I can't imagine it's particularly healthy, given the backdrop...
From what I have seen and heard: - There are a lot more sales positions than trading and structuring - Equities is (supposed to be) a growing area at DB, especially prime finance - Not many trading roles in FICC but there are sales roles - I doubt Distressed Products will be hiring and personally, I don't think the outlook is that good for this asset class

I think if you're interested in equity sales, you should try to rotate on the desk
