TOP HHs In New York
What are the large, reputable, or worthwhile HHs to reach out to in NY. I know Oxbridge, SG, Glocap - are their other ones worth reaching out to?

Try CPI
Also try Amity Search partners. They are new but they are basically run by 7 ex SG recruiters who split off earlier this year. They run searches for a lot of former SG clients (TPG, Apallo, etc.)
Good luck.
I found CPI, Oxbridge, and Amity most helpful.
On the other hand, it really is highly dependent on who you convince that you're a compelling candidate...
Got minimal love from SG and Glocap, but CPI hooked me up big time.
do you just call these guys up and talk to them about helping you in recruiting? are they selective in who they choose, I assume they have to be? Do you have to be at a BB or will they take you at an elite MM or even if you are at a no-name firm.
.
Henkel Search Partners has KKR, Carlyle and Warburg this year.
Are they the same for outside of NY in general? Do top BB's/boutiques in SF/Chicago/LA get as heavily recruited by HHs?
Which headhunters are known for being more snobby/selective? I know it probably depends each individual's situation and background but I heard CPI was pretty bad.
Any good headhunter will storm your village at night and cut off your head using a ceremonial knife
Best NYC recruiters (Originally Posted: 07/16/2011)
What are the best recruiters in NYC for Asset Management? I have heard GloCap gets access to the most jobs, but has very low placement rates.
Thanks!
A friend of mine had an interview through Greenkey
Thank you. Any others with additional insight/names?

Headhunters - know any good ones? (Originally Posted: 02/15/2012)
Currently working at a BB in NYC and would like to lateral to another position on the sell-side or jump to a HF. I am post-MBA if that makes a difference.
I've been contacted by a few guys, but would prefer to work closely (and discreetly) with one headhunter who is well connected.
I'm concerned about my bank finding out I am looking around, which is why I'd prefer to work with one strong shop instead of just blasting my resume out to anyone with a heartbeat. If any of you gold stars can advise me, I'd really appreciate it.

I'd be interested in this as well, so, bump
NYC Headhunters List?? (Originally Posted: 07/17/2011)
Hello,
I am currently looking for opportunities in NYC area. Can someone please help to direct me to find the following information that I am looking for?
General NYC headhunters contacts? NYC headhunters in Asset Management? Headhunters/recruiters for Bloomberg?
I am currently on a job, but not in NYC. My background allow me to work for either asset management companies or companies like Bloomberg.
Thanks a lot!
Happy WSOing!
