What kind of phone do you use?
I know, kind of a random question. But I was wondering if Blackberry's are as common in the business world as I think, or if other smart phones are taking it's place.
This question is geared towards people working in a business-like environment so, if you can, please specify. College kids can add too but that's not the point of this.
Oh, n if you can, please tell me why you like your phone more than a blackberry/other smart phones.
Have a BB for work and iPhone for personal use. Both are more than adequate and far superior to competition in their respected arenas.
I think this is the most common combo tbh. i have it too
Exact same as above. Would consider an Android phone for personal if it weren't for the need to root it to kill bloatware, and the lack of Google voice in the UK
I just find it more convenient because it automatically transcribes your voicemail, you can set it up so it will go to both your mobile and land line, you can use the voip function to make calls (esp int'l) for cheap, and you'll get SMSs, voicemails, and missed call notifications sent to your email
iPhone 4
lg flip phone from 8th grade. no joke
What kind of phone do I use? That would be the ugly black box with a corded phone that sits on my desk.
I use a blackberry its perfect for checking emails and the markets during the day
i have one phone (not counting the desk phone) and it is a samsung flip phone circa 2004. I pay $42 + 11 data a month. i laugh at people who pay more than $100 a month for cell phone/data per month, and i laugh even harder at those who pay retail for smart phones because they really wanted to "fit in".
Quit laughing!
Do you actually laugh, though? Because that seems like a pretty B-movie villain move.
Fuck phones. It's all about smoke signals bitches.
Lol at first I thought you were kind of an ass, but you're pretty funny. +1SB
Which phone for work (Originally Posted: 06/08/2014)
Guys, so basically my company (pe fund) asked me which phone I want to get for working stuff. What models would you guys recommend? I was looking at Nexus 5, HTC One M8... or should I get a Blackberry or iphone? thanks
payphone

Only get a blackberry if you are a history enthusiast. Samsung Galaxy S5 is probably the best phone out there
Galaxy S5 if you're tech savvy or iPhone 5s if you're not. They're the two best phones on the market.
HTC One M8 or see if you can defer until the iPhone 6 is released.
I would suggest an iPhone if you plant to stick along for a while ;)

A vodafone crappy 10 eur phone that came with 1 eur. All nice phones I have ever bought I loose them less than 3 months. Still planning to get a samsung galaxy tab to use skype.
3 year old Blackberry for personal use, Blackberry for work. Not particularly exciting.
HTC G2 aka Nexus 2
BB Torch for personal and Curve for work. If/when BBM gets ported, I'll get an Android.
BB Curve, work phone.
.
"I'm ten years behind the tech curve and I'm so proud!"
haha.
seriously, mfoste1 pays more for his brick than I do for an iPhone5
