Which school should I attend and....

I'm a Virginia resident. I'm 18 years old and I've just finished 3 semesters at a local community college with a 3.9. I've recently been accepted to Virginia Tech's business program and University of Richmond's ugrad b-school. I can't transfer to a target because our only instate semi-target school is UVA and I'll have enough credits after a semester at either mentioned schools to be a junior. So McIntire is out of the question unfortunately. (and I got rejected)

Well my questions are:
1) Which school would most likely be the better b-school with more job opportunities. considering I do well coming out of both with a 3.7+ and so on. Good internships, a decent shot at recruiting, maybe a good shot at a MM bank. Which school wins in that department?

2) I've recently thought about doubling up on my majors with both Finance and CS. I love programming, and grew up studying in an IT center in high school learning programming basics. Is this a good idea? Would banks hiring really like this? Maybe it'd be better to double major with math? I do feel like a cs option would maybe give Vtech a leg up...

My ultimate goal is to be a trader. Work in Equity and so on.

Money is really no object considering Richmond is need-blind based and the two school come out to the same cost. I'm really paying for all of this alone and I've bee
n living alone since the end of high school so if any of you guys wonder, financial reasons took over my decision to attend Community College.

Well I'm new to WSO, but I've been browsing this board for a while now. Most of you guys are awesome advice givers, and hopefully I can learn a lot from y'all.

wow, that much of a gap between the two b-schools huh? I know Bweek and UsNews rankings serve as indicators but bweek rankings are usually shit anyways. And neither of em are really ranked in USnews business schools.

Thanks for the responses guys, keep em coming!

Richmond.

But if you still have time to apply to other schools, do it. Your GPA seems alright. You may want to try Maryland or Georgetown. Both schools also give a ton of Fin Aid.

Good luck.

@Buyside: could mathematics be a good degree for quantitative work? I mean Tech is highly ranked in Math [top 40] and CS [top 20?] (and engineering but we all know that). I do find the quant side much more exciting than a lot of the IB positions.

And to clarify, Richmond doesn't offer a Finance degree per se, only a math econ degree with a concentration in Finance. A lot of the "finance" students go that route and take math as a minor as well. Maybe that's why they have a successful outcome of business students. Could those majors be replicated at say a state school and come to the same success?

I really do thank you guys for taking your time to answer my question. I'm sure there are other students in situations like mine and this forum will help all of us greatly.
