Android is android, common app stores - the difference is the bundled apps the tablets come with.

Jailbraiking an iPad is very easy, just google it.

Personally, I'd go to CompUSA or TigerDirect or some store like that and try them all out. You can always buy one/return it, (repeat) to find which you liked the best,

Jailbreaking is the easy part. (Just google it) The more difficult thing is fully utilizing a jailbroken idevice. You will have to familiarize urself with sshing and get into communities such as xsellisze, and sinfuliphone, installous. Prob take 10-15 Hours to fully understand what jailbreaking can do for you. I mean I can dl movues and songs that are just released and watch them instantaneously or wirelessly transfer them to desktop, tether my iPad so I can use its internet connection with any other device (at no extra cosr from att and vz),...etc.

That's interesting. The one thing I like about android is the customization ability - it's very easy to customize and change ROMs. Installing a torrented app on an android device is pretty much 'copy to device...install...installation completed'

I haven't jailbroken an iPad or used one extensively so I can't really compare the two.

Maverick and co> Thanks a ton for the info. I am actually going to jailbreak my itouch (out of warranty already) to play around with the apps and get a feel for it. If I can jailbreak an Ipad and get these capabilities, might be the move to make.

As for Kindle> I can't recommend it enough. I typically run through 2-3 books a week plus a ton of pdfs. Makes my life (and eyes) much easier.
